Darcie Olley

Hi! I'm Darcie Olley, an illustrator based in the east of England.

I graduated from studying a degree in Textiles at the Colchester School of Art in 2018. In the last year of my studies, my final collection was selected by fashion designer Sir Paul Smith, as the recipient of the Nicole Abbott Award. After graduating, I worked in the Textile Design industry for a while, before deciding illustrating is where my heart lies, and making the decision to go it alone.

Being able to draw and create everyday feels like a dream job!

I use a mixture of acrylic, watercolour, gouache, pencil and digital techniques to make art, which I hope sparks joy in people.

If I'm not painting, you might find me cooking up some exciting recipes in the kitchen, chilling out with some yoga, or trying to make friends with the neighbourhood cats.

So far my illustrations and prints have been applied to clothing, books, accessories, greeting cards, homewares, stationary and more. Some of my clients include: Campbell Books / Pan Macmillan, Sunny + Ted, Pink Chicken NY, Papyrus and Letterfest.

I'm always looking for new and exciting projects to work on, so feel free to drop me a message below, or say hello to me on Instagram: @darcieolley
